Pictures of Golden Regiment Invitational in Blue Springs by Rachel Taylor
The Camdenton Band has reached the halfway point of the competition season, and even though the full band began rehearsing July 31st, the work continues. The band played all five movements in competition for the first time at the Golden Regiment Marching Invitational in Blue Springs Missouri. The performance brought the band second place in Class AA behind Grain Valley High School with Camdenton taking the caption for best general effect. Camdenton took fourth place overall. The level of competition and the level of fan support were exceptional with spectators remaining in their seats to watch all bands throughout prelims and finals.
Now the band moves forward through morning rehearsals and a Thursday night rehearsal to prepare for the Ozarko Marching Band Festival on the Missouri State Campus in Springfield, Missouri this Saturday, October 7th at 1:58 pm. At the festival, Camdenton will face off against bands from Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas with the opportunity to compete against Grain Valley and Blue Valley West in the Silver Category. Lake area band fans should also plan to cheer on School of the Osage when they compete in the White Category at 10:48 am.
Get excited to bring your PINK, wear your PINK, own your PINK when you watch the Camdenton Band perform “Tickled Pink” at the Ozarko Marching Band Festival this Saturday, October 7th at 1:58 pm.
